The team behind FlipCraft Guide spent years inside marketing, education and non-profit shops watching beautiful PDFs die in inboxes. The print quality was there. The story was there. The distribution was broken. We built FlipCraft Guide as the public playbook for fixing that distribution — a hundred concrete use cases, twelve features explained in plain language, and a dozen templates you can apply this week.
Independent, not owned
We are not affiliated with any single flipbook SaaS. The patterns we document apply equally to the major commercial platforms and to self-hosted tooling. Where we suggest specific defaults — export at 150 DPI, keep brochures under 16 pages — we are sharing what we have seen work across hundreds of publications, not promoting a vendor.
How the data is sourced
Our use-case taxonomy is grounded in real-world publication categories pulled from the Wikidata SPARQL endpoint and OpenLibrary's subject API, supplemented by curated lists of digital publishing tools from public GitHub topics. Every entry is reviewed by a human and rewritten for clarity before it is published. The seed script that ingests the data lives in this very repository.
