What file formats can I upload?
Any standard PDF works. For best results export with embedded fonts at 150 DPI, sRGB. PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides decks should be exported to PDF first; the conversion preserves layout fidelity better than a direct upload.
How big can a flipbook be?
The Starter tier supports up to 100 pages per flipbook; Studio and Team have no per-flipbook page limit. Performance stays smooth up to about 300 pages on a typical phone — beyond that we recommend splitting the publication into chapters that each become their own flipbook on a single bookshelf.
Will my custom domain work with HTTPS?
Yes. FlipCraft provisions and renews a Let's Encrypt certificate automatically once you point a CNAME at our infrastructure. You do not need to manage TLS yourself.
Can I update a flipbook without breaking the URL?
Yes — that is the whole point. Replace the source PDF in the dashboard and the flipbook updates in place. Old QR codes, email signatures and bookmarks all keep working.
Is there an API?
The Team plan exposes a REST API for uploading PDFs, listing flipbooks, fetching analytics and registering webhooks. The full reference lives behind your dashboard once you sign in.
How is page-level analytics measured?
We measure dwell time per spread (how long the spread is in the viewport), drop-off (the spread the reader closes the flipbook on), link clicks, and search queries inside the flipbook. The data is aggregated; we do not track individuals unless you opt into the lead-capture flow.
Can I gate a flipbook behind an email form?
Yes. Toggle Lead Capture in the flipbook settings, choose which page the form appears on, and decide whether the form is required (gating) or optional (collecting). Submissions stream to your CRM via native integrations or a webhook.
